Dr. Denise Barajas is an experienced breast surgeon and expert on breast cancer screening, early detection, and treatment. She is the Medical Director of the Hewitt Center for Breast Health at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT, as well as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. After completing her undergraduate work at Johns Hopkins University, she attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, and then went on to complete her general surgery residency at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, CT. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has completed specialty training in breast ultrasound and oncoplastic breast surgery.
