graduated with research distinction and as a member of the AOA chapter of the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1999. Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) is our national medical society and we had to be in the top 10% of our class to be honored with membership. I then went on to complete my internship in integrated plastic surgery at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I completed my general surgery residency at the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 2005, and have been practicing here in Bradenton, FL, ever since.
I am board certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and I'm a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). If you need any surgery, I highly recommend that your surgeon is both of these and you should check the ABS and FACS websites for references.
I grew up in Miami and have three beautiful children. I obtained my Bachelors degree from the University of Miami in 1995, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I put myself through college, working full-time while raising my first two kids. Luckily I was blessed with a super supportive family. They were the catalyst for my studies and a great example of what a strong family can accomplish here in America. We are all so blessed to be here and I feel strongly that my patients are my extended family and we should all continue to support each other.
